Tuttosport: Time to shine at last – Leao and Pulisic to get rare start together vs. Genoa

Has the time finally come to see Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao back on the pitch together from the first minute?

As Tuttosport (via MilanNews) reports, Milan fans and above all Massimiliano Allegri are wondering and hoping that the duo can be paired together for tomorrow night’s home match against Genoa, the first at San Siro in 2026.

The two have only started together once this season, on November 23rd in the derby against Inter. They seem to have been cursed to this point, though Thursday evening could provide a turning point.

Together at last?

The American and Portuguese duo could, on paper, be one of the most prolific pairings in the league. Unfortunately, Allegri has almost always had only one of the two players available at a time due to injuries.

Tomorrow night against Genoa, the coach should finally have the chance to field both players from the start. Leao already started against Cagliari, while Pulisic has recovered from the ailments that kept him on the bench for much of the match.

What if one of the two isn’t fit enough to start? Unfortunately, there aren’t many options: Niclas Fullkrug isn’t yet fully fit and is likely to come on during the second half for his debut at San Siro.

Christopher Nkunku is still recovering from the foot injury he suffered at the end of 2025 against Hellas Verona and trained separately yesterday. He will be on the bench at best, therefore.

Also keep an eye on the condition of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who left training early yesterday after suffering a minor issue, but it is not expected to be anything to worry about.
