AC Milan and Inter will both be excited for this weekend’s games, thanks to some medical news. However, whether it will lessen the nerves is another thing entirely.

This weekend’s game could be the biggest in Serie A this season. A chance to create a gap, or the chance to truly establish that there is no clear favourite for the title. It will be a big one for both sides of the City.

The game also offers a test for both coaches and a chance to test two different partnerships.

Tuttosport writes that the game will be big in its own right, but the fact that both teams will have their strike partnerships back is something else entirely, as MilanPress relays. Inter can rely upon Marcus Thuram and Lautaro Martinez again, whilst Massimiliano Allegri can look to Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic.

It has been 54 days since the Nerazzurri pair were together, but the Rossoneri have been forced to wait almost 100 days, due to both players spending time on the sidelines. It will be the first time they have also played centrally together in a game of this magnitude. Talk about a baptism of fire.

Either way, both pairs will be key to the result, presumably.
