With Santiago Gimenez not wowing anyone yet this season, AC Milan could be in the striker market very soon, it seems.
Until Gimenez’s situation changes, there will be talk about Milan changing the situation themselves. It is a race against time for the Mexican, and reports suggest that he only has two months to save his spot at the club.
Should he fail to do so, the Rossoneri would be forced to look at a new striker in the January mercato – 12 months on from the window when he arrived.
New name emerges
Several names have been suggested so far, including Joaquin Panichelli – the Strasbourg striker – whilst Jonathan Burkardt’s name has also been mentioned. In other words, the Diavolo are not limited to options.

Now, it seems they may have another on the table. This afternoon, SempreInter relayed information from UOL, who state that Milan are considering a move for Giovane, the 21-year-old striker who joined Hellas Verona in the summer.
It will not be an easy battle, considering he has also received attention from Inter and Napoli, whom he has already scored against this season. A €10 million price tag has been given to the Brazilian, who is deemed to be ‘one of the most sought-after prospects in Serie A’.
