Vergine and Kirovski address youth sector at Christmas party: “I’ve found so much passion”

Vincenzo Vergine and Jovan Kirovski both addressed the youth sector at the annual Christmas party, which took place on Wednesday.

The men’s and women’s first teams were at San Siro yesterday for the youth team Christmas party, which has now become an annual tradition. The players distributed toys, played on a record-breaking foosball table and showed the kids around the dressing room.

In the second part of the event, speeches were given by some key figures at the club. This includes CEO Giorgio Furlani, who spoke about how the youth are the foundation of the Milan of the future, praising the work of some important people behind the scenes.

‘A lot of work to do’

Vincenzo Vergine – the Head of the Milan men’s youth sector – also gave an address to those present, and he spoke about what he has encountered since arriving from Roma.

“Here at Milan, I’ve found so much passion, so much professionalism, so much expertise, and obviously, there’s a lot of work to do,” he said.

“And what are we working on? On the fact that we can do a job based on respect. You respect us, we respect you, we all respect each other, and on this issue, we try every day to make the environment we live in a healthy one where you can grow.”

Jovan Kirovski – the director of Milan Futuro – followed him with a few words on his role and what the project is trying to achieve.

“We believe that talent is our future. Milan Futuro is not just a team: it’s a project for growing together, every day. You are the future. I truly thank you for your help: it’s very important for our work.”
