Viktor Gyokeres will soon be an Arsenal player and the supporters can collectively breathe a huge sigh of relief.
The search for a striker is almost over, with an announcement over a £63.7million deal all that stands between everyone of an Arsenal persuasion sleeping easier.
The Gunners have been on the lookout for a new No.9 for what seems like an eternity. Three consecutive runners-up finishes in the Premier League have only exacerbated calls for a striker to be signed.
And, bar an official confirmation, the deal to sign Gyokeres from Sporting CP is done.
Arsenal reached a verbal agreement with Sporting on Tuesday, following days of negotiations over the breakdown of the fee for the 26-year-old.
The two clubs had already agreed on a €63.5million (£55million) deal with €10million (£8.7million) in add-ons just over a week ago, with the breakthrough finally coming on Tuesday with regard to the structure of the finances.
Gyokeres, once the complete agreement has been achieved, will undergo a medical before completing media responsibilities before the deal is announced. He can then fly out to Singapore - or Hong Kong, depending on when it is announced - to join his new teammates on their pre-season tour.

Arsenal's first pre-season tour game took place on Wednesday, with a match against Serie A side AC Milan in Singapore. And on commentary there was a hint about the deal.
Arsenal.com commentator Adrian Clarke said: "There is a certain forward name begins with G, who might come on board to score lots of goals."
Not only that, but there was another nod to the transfer elsewhere inside the stadium. An Arsenal fan was captured on camera doing the famed Gyokeres celebration, with the interlocked fingers across the mouth, a la Bane in the Dark Knight Rises film.
Then, during the half-time entertainment, there were plenty of people also showing off the Gyokeres mask celebration to the camera as it panned around the supporters.
