Milan Futuro suffered a disappointing defeat on Sunday afternoon, putting in a very good performance but ultimately falling 2-1 to Villa Valle.
After two weeks off due to the international break, the Futuro took to the field against their opponents on Sunday hoping to avenge the 1-0 defeat against bottom-placed Nuova Sondrio in their last league match.
The first half was full of drama from the very first minutes. The home side took the lead in the sixth minute through Ravasi, who capitalised on being left alone from a corner to fire in with a shot at the near post.
Diego Sia and Borsani missed big chances to level, and then it looked like the ultimate punishment was coming. Emanuele Sala brought down the goal scorer Ravasi when he was through, getting a straight red card.
Right before the interval, the home side got a penalty for a foul on Bellandi by Vladimirov inside the box. Ravasi – who was at the centre of everything – rolled the spot kick wide.
A few minutes before the hour-mark, the Futuro surprisingly got themselves back on terms. Chaka Traore found Capelletti in behind, and his cross was turned in by Maximilian Ibrahimovic.
Milan then got right on top in the game, missing huge chances through Karaca and Ibrahimovic. The former drew a good save from Passeri, and the latter had an attempt blocked by Martinello.
Then, in the 84th minute, the sucker punch came. Perrotti put the home side back in front with a left-footed shot form the edge of the box that a sprawling Torriani couldn’t quite reach.
