Vitiello: Leao, Tomori and Gimenez undergo personal training as two return

This evening, an injury update has arrived from Antonio Vitiello, who states that AC Milan will be monitoring three players over the next few days.

There is a lot at stake for Milan this weekend, given that they can potentially beat first and second in the league. Of course, Roma will have their own aspirations of reaching the top spot, so it will not be an easy game at all.

Mixed news from Milanello

Unfortunately, the Rossoneri have had some annoying news since the Atalanta game, where it seems that a few players are at risk. It is not all bad, though, with some players returning from injuries, which provides a boost.

In the grand scheme of things, though, the Diavolo certainly could be entering this game in a better position. Especially with Adrien Rabiot and Christian Pulisic still out.

Vitiello gave an injury update on those at Milanello, and their tasks, on MilanNews this evening.

“Work continues ahead of Sunday evening’s Milan-Roma match, with the team training again today at Milanello. MilanNews.it has learned that Ardon Jashari, out since the end of August with a fractured fibula sustained in training, will return to the squad.

“The Swiss midfielder is making progress. Pervis Estupinan is also back with the squad after dealing with ankle problems; the full-back will be available for Sunday.

“Rafael Leao, Fikayo Tomori, and Santiago Gimenez, all three struggling with physical discomfort, will be undergoing individual training. The Portuguese is experiencing hip pain, as Allegri had anticipated after the Atalanta-Milan match.

“Santiago is experiencing ankle discomfort; the striker was forced out in Bergamo due to this issue, while the English defender is experiencing knee pain. If Tomori is unable to play, De Winter will play again against Roma.

“Both Pulisic and Rabiot are continuing their recovery work: the American’s goal is to return for the match against Parma (there’s a slim hope of having him on the bench against Roma), while the French midfielder is aiming for a return after the break.”
