Vitiello: Milan counting on Napoli clash to sell out with over 72k fans expected

The big and exciting game between AC Milan and Napoli on Sunday evening is expected to be a sell-out, according to a report.

After four wins on the bounce, Milan are now preparing to face Antonio Conte’s Napoli, who are the current league leaders with 12 points. Currently three points behind, the Rossoneri know that they would catch up with a win.

As if Milan-Napoli wasn’t a big enough fixture, the situation in the standings has certainly sweetened things, while the Allegri-Conte battle cannot be ignored either. In short, we could be looking at a great game and the ticket sales reflect that.

Many tickets sold

According to Antonio Vitiello of MilanNews, the clash is expected to be fully sold out as more than 72k tickets have been sold so far. Given the security restrictions for high-level games, it won’t be possible to take in much more than that at San Siro.

It’s also possible that Curva Sud, Milan’s ultras, could return to singing and chanting for the game. That would make the atmosphere electric and it’s something the Rossoneri players could use to beat the reigning champions.

Hopefully, Allegri’s men will have a good result to celebrate at the end of the night. The fans are certainly a bit more optimistic thanks to the recent run of form.
