Vitiello: Nkunku permanently and Dovbyk on loan – Milan’s new plan for the attack

It is never straightforward with AC Milan, and the ending of this summer mercato is proving this again. Ideas are changing for the nth time. 

There is an understandable period where Milan leave a deal for dead. With Victor Boniface, a second medical check ended the move, and now Conrad Harder’s stalling of a move effectively rules that one out.

So, the Rossoneri are going back to the drawing board again. However, it still seems that they are avoiding the blatantly obvious answer at this point.

Milan’s (new) plan

Late last night, the idea of Christopher Nkunku arose, and it seems that this is a very serious possibility. In fact, things are moving very quickly, and Antonio Vitiello writes that there is a new plan.

According to the journalist, on X, the idea now is to sign the Chelsea outcast permanently this summer, and then look at a loan deal for Artem Dovbyk from Roma. This aligns with the idea of two strikers coming in. However, it still brings up questions.

Put it this way, the Diavolo, in the past week, have nearly closed on three different ideas, as well as making steps towards Dusan Vlahovic. At this point, the effectiveness and clarity are only going to be questioned.
