There is a lot that can be said about the start that AC Milan have had this season. However, there can be annoyance, still.
Milan, for the most part, have been really good so far. Wins against Napoli and Bologna headline the season, whilst wins against Udinese and Lecce, even the draw against Juventus, are still very strong results.
However, there is a feeling that there is more that can be done. Ultimately, the game on Sunday had several negatives, too.
Pulisic, Leao and Nkunku
The light shines on the three big misses from Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao, three chances to win the game. However, none were taken, and the Rossoneri had to settle for a point. Considering how the former has started the season, it is unfair to criticise him, says Antonio Vitiello for MilanNews.
“In Turin, Pulisic ‘s penalty would have sealed the victory, and the American’s miss was a significant one. But someone like Cris can be forgiven for his mistake. After all, he put his face on the line, apologising both to his teammates in the locker room and to the fans.
“He used unequivocal words on social media: “It kills me to disappoint this club. I will work 10 times harder to make things right. Forza Milan always,” the striker confessed.

“It’s unfair to blame a player who made the difference with crucial goals and assists in previous matches. Instead, we need to focus on how to maximise the squad’s attackers’ performance.
“Leao and Nkunku are still lagging behind, both in terms of fitness and understanding their tactical positioning. Something still needs to be fixed, and Allegri is working on it.
Leao and Christopher Nkunku are not up to the match standard yet, so we cannot be too harsh. However, there is a lot of pressure on them, considering one is the star and the other is the most expensive summer addition.
