As part of his role as the Italian National Team manager, Gennaro Gattuso has visited several training grounds. Today was the latest when he returned home to AC Milan.
It is nothing new for national team coaches to visit training grounds. After all, they want to get a view of their players in a more ‘relaxed’ environment, whilst also seeing the infrastructure and what he can implement into his own training camps.
Three returns
So, with him currently travelling through some Italian clubs to look at their training camps, today he returned home, as Sky showed (via MilanPress). It was not just him present, though. Instead, he was joined by his two assistant coaches, Luigi Riccio and Leonardo Bonucci.
Riccio formerly spent time at Milan as a coach in the Primavera and then with the first team, whilst Bonucci worked with Allegri for years, so a reunion will have occurred there, then he also played for the Rossoneri for a year.
