Watch: Highlights as Milan fall short in derby preparation against Virtus Entella

AC Milan failed to beat the Serie B side Virtus Entella in Friday’s friendly, losing 2-3, but some of their key players at least managed to get minutes in their legs. 

For this international break, with some of the stars staying at Milanello due to recent injuries, Milan and Massimiliano Allegri decided to arrange a friendly against Virtus Entella. Above all, it was a way for Ardon Jashari and Christian Pulisic to get some playing time.

The American opened the scoring early on, finding the back of the net with a left-footed effort, and the Swiss international impressed in a Luka Modric-esque role. The youngster Emanuele Borsani restored the lead in the second half, following a Pulisic hockey assist, but it wasn’t enough.

The Serie B side scored twice to not only level the game but also win it. Considering that the Rossoneri’s defence was mostly made up of Futuro players, there’s no need for Allegri to read too much into the goals conceded. Below, you can find the highlights from the game.
