AC Milan began their 2025-26 campaign in winning fashion as they beat Bari 2-0 in the round of 32 of the Coppa Italia.
The first goal of the new season went to Rafael Leao, who headed in a Fikayo Tomori cross in a way that Olivier Giroud would have been proud of. In the second half, Christian Pulisic fired in an assist from Santiago Gimenez to essentially kill off the contest.
In truth, Milan missed several big opportunities to pad the lead even further and make it more of a statement victory, but the main thing was to get through and Lecce now await in the next round.
