Mike Maignan and Adrien Rabiot were international team-mates, but now they are club team-mates too, after the latter joined AC Milan.
It’s been official for a few days now: Rabiot is a new Milan player, and upon returning from the international break, the Frenchman will make his first appearance at Milanello. Massimiliano Allegri will certainly be pleased, but so will Maignan.
The two have been close friends since they were kids, and now they find themselves playing for the same club, as well as the same national team. Excellence Sport Nation, the agency that oversees Maignan’s interests, posted a very funny video straight from the France training camp .
The short sketch features the goalkeeper and midfielder joking about the origins of the veal (Milanese) they are about to eat: “It comes from our place.” exclaims Maignan, while the midfielder replies: “Oh yes, it comes from our place now.”
Then comes a comment from Rabiot his friend’s culinary habits, with a piece of advice: “Mike always eats healthily, but he should maybe add some rice and pasta to his plate!”
