Mike Maignan once again proved his worth for AC Milan against Roma, making several decisive saves in the eventual 1-1 draw.
The build-up to the game was dominated by the news that Maignan has agreed a contract renewal with Milan. He will put pen to paper on a new deal with the Rossoneri until 2031 as per various reports, and will become the joint-highest earner at the club alongside Rafael Leao.
During the first-half at the Stadio Olimpico, Maignan showed why he is worth every penny. The Frenchman – who was named Player of the Match by Lega Serie A – made saves to deny Donyell Malen, Manu Kone and Zeki Celik, keeping his side level.
Milan have published clips of each of his four main saves on their social media, while after the game the goalkeeper spoke of his frustration regarding the penalty decision.
