France played Iceland last night, and whilst the result was disappointing, AC Milan will be very pleased with a certain performance.
International games often weigh very little on a season, barring big injuries, of course. However, they can also offer insight into how a player can play elsewhere, and this is what we have seen with Christopher Nkunku.
A bit of finesse
Rather than starting as a striker or even behind him, Nkunku started out wide and was dangerous throughout the game. However, his performance was sealed with a really nice goal from the edge of the box, which can be seen below.
With Massimiliano Allegri considering a 4-3-3, perhaps he could be the starting left-winger, if Rafael Leao is not recovered.
⚽️ Nkunku scores for France! 🇫🇷
