It ended up being a complicated away trip to Pisa for Milan, who were rescued by their veteran Luka Modric in the dying minutes.
After taking the lead through Ruben Loftus-Cheek in the first half, it seemed like it would be a comfortable evening for Milan, especially since they dominated play before that. This was further fueled by a penalty in the second half, but Niclas Füllkrug’s miss was the start of a poor period.
Pisa got back in the game and eventually found the equaliser, following some chaos at the back for Milan. Massimiliano Allegri quickly responded by switching to a 4-3-3 and in the 85th minute, Modric combined with Samuele Ricci to restore the lead.
For the Rossoneri, it was an absolutely massive victory and you can watch the highlights of it in the video below. If you need timestamps, the first goal starts 12 seconds into the video, and the second goal starts after one minute and 24 seconds.
