Adrien Rabiot echoed the words of his coach after the win against Bologna, as he was happy with most of the performance but not all of it.
Milan rocked up at the Stadio Renato dall’Ara hoping to right the wrongs of last season when they lost at the same stadium, and they did some emphatically with a 3-0 win.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek fired in the first goal from Rabiot’s feed in the first then, then not long before the break Christopher Nkunku buried a penalty that he had won after being fouled running in behind.
Rabiot turned from provider to scorer early in the second half as he slotted home after a bad throw-in from Juan Miranda, and the Rossoneri saw out the clean sheet. The win means a 22-game league unbeaten run, and a seven-point gap to Roma in fifth.
Reaction from Rabiot
Rabiot spoke to DAZN (via MilanNews) just after receiving his Player of the Match award from Lega Serie A, and he gave his assessments on what was a positive night for him personally and for the team.
How do you feel after a win like that?
“The match wasn’t exactly easy: at the start, we weren’t able to keep the ball in front of us. We could have scored at any point. Then, with our confidence, we kept improving and we scored. We could have done even better, but we were a bit content with the result.
“We could have scored more and performed better technically in the second half. We dropped back a bit, but it’s a great win on a difficult pitch. It gives us even more hunger and confidence.”

A tricky month awaits, and then the derby with Inter…
“I don’t know if it’s a delicate match, but every game is important. It was important to get points to move up to fifth place, then we’ll see about Inter later. The main objective is fourth place, at the very least.
“With tonight’s match, we’ve opened up a gap on Roma. It’s a great moment, we need to keep going like this, all united, working as we’ve done so far, and then we’ll see where Inter will be later.”
