After a 3-0 win, Stefano Pioli has again looked at his team’s performance in the match against AC Milan last weekend.
For Milan, the focus is on the early game of the weekend, where they will welcome Pisa to San Siro for the first time in almost 13,000 days. The pair have not faced since 1991, and Massimiliano Allegri will hope it is another win to add to the record.
Elsewhere, though, it appears the focus is on previous results, though.
Pioli frustrated
After last night’s Europa Conference League games, Pioli spoke to the press after a 3-0 win for his side, which is only his team’s second of the season. However, it was clear that he was still annoyed about the game last weekend.
Rafael Leao had to drag the Rossoneri back into the game to bring the game to a 2-1 scoreline at full-time, something which Pioli is still frustrated by, as MilanNews relays.
“I don’t agree so much with last Sunday’s match. Honestly, Milan, also because they were a team with several absences, 10 minutes after we took the lead, never gave us the impression of putting ourselves in trouble.

“We failed miserably in a situation where we were down to 10 men, because our captain was out injured, and there wasn’t that momentum where we all had to do a little bit more. If we had gotten results, we’d be more carefree, more brilliant, even better in terms of our play.
“When there are certain situations, you get out of them by putting in the game, especially in delicate, difficult moments, a little bit more. Instead, we did our homework and allowed Milan to regain confidence. When overall, the game was pretty much under control.”
