The Premier League transfer window closes at 7pm tonight when the bell will sound on a frenzied summer of spending by top flight clubs.

There have been some blockbuster moves this year with nearly £3billion splashed out by Premier League sides.

And while top flight clubs can no longer add more new faces to their squads past tonight's deadline, they can still offload unwanted players to overseas sides.

The Premier League window closes earlier than normal this summer with the Football Association, Premier League and EFL all agreeing to the 7pm finish to prevent clubs and league officials from working on transfers late into the night.

Serie A, the Bundesliga and Ligue 1 also shut their windows at 7pm while in Scotland and Spain it is 11pm.

But elsewhere there are plenty of opportunities for Premier League teams to sell stars further into September.

The window in Turkey remains open until September 12. There has been a spate of sales to Turkey from the Premier League in recent times and the prospect remains for further exits amid speculation linking the likes of Manchester City's Stefan Ortega with a move to the country.

Ilkay Gundogan is another who could feasibly move to the Turkish Super Lig should City decide the veteran has no future at the Etihad.

The window in Saudi Arabia is another with plenty of days left to run, closing on September 23.

Several Premier League teams have capitalised on the willingness by Saudi Pro League clubs to spend big on talent in recent years. Darwin Nunez was the highest profile player to leave an English club for Saudi this summer.

Other windows open later than England include the Netherlands, which closes at 11pm on September 2, Belgium and Switzerland (September 8), Greece (September 12) and Serbia (September 17).
