Arsenal teenager Max Dowman became the youngest ever player to feature in the Champions League when he was subbed on for the Gunners' 3-0 win over Slavia Prague on Tuesday.

Former Borussia Dortmund forward Youssoufa Moukoko previously held the record.

Dowman, 15, was named in Arsenal's Champions League squad for this season, but did not feature in the first three matches in the first round of fixtures.

Moukoko set the record, aged 16 years and 18 days, in a 2-1 Dortmund away win against Zenit St Petersburg in 2020.

Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal is currently the third-youngest player to have appeared, at 16 years and 68 days, while Celestine Babayaro, Rayan Cherki, Alen Halilovic and Youri Tielemans also made their Champions League debuts as 16-year-olds.
