AC Milan have had a strange summer so far, though nothing is weirder than the chase for Guela Doue, whose move is being affected by another.
It is nothing new for a player to be halted at one club until another arrives. However, a move not happening because of a different player, in a different position, involving a different club? Certainly questionable.
However, this is the situation with Doue, whose potential move to Milan is being stopped due to poor relations between the Rossoneri and Chelsea, due to the Mike Maignan deal.
Questionable interference
It was reported initially a few weeks ago, but things are still no better. In fact, to get a deal done for Doue, the Diavolo are having to mend the relationship with BlueCo; a ridiculous situation, indeed.
As Matteo Moretto has stated today, via MilanZone, things are progressing though, with the club looking to make a new attempt for the right-back.

“Another attempt is also ready for Guela Doue, with the Rossoneri club working to mend relations with the Chelsea sphere (which also includes Strasbourg).”
