Granit Xhaka has told Ardon Jashari that his time will come after he suffered a serious injury in training that will keep him out for a while.
Jashari joined Luka Modric and Samuele Ricci to form part of a new-look midfield at Milan, a department that needed rebuilding following the sale of Tijjani Reijnders to Manchester City. We broke down what to expect from Jashari in a recent player analysis.
However, that came before the Swiss midfielder suffered a fracture leg during a tackle in training, which means he will be out for at least a couple of months. It is certainly unfortunate timing for the 22-year-old, who was no doubt desperate to hit the ground running.
Xhaka spoke in an interview and he was asked about his compatriot’s move to Milan and the injury that will force him to sit out for some time, with his comments relayed by MilanPress.
“I told him, ‘Your time will come’. Ardon has a great future ahead of him, and with his move to Milan, he’s shown he can play for a great team. It’s a shame about the injury, but he’s quite strong mentally and will definitely come back even stronger.”
