Liverpool transfer target Alexander Isak has been named in the Sweden squad for its upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Slovenia and Kosovo, where he could return to action for the first time since last season.
Isak has been training alone at Newcastle this summer in a bid to force an exit. He has been left out of fixtures against Aston Villa and Liverpool and won't feature against Leeds United at the weekend either, but Sweden boss Jon Dahl Tomasson has named Isak in his national team squad.
By the time Sweden takes to the field, the transfer window will have closed. Isak has until 7pm UK time on Monday, September 1 to convince his current employer to let him leave.
