Arne Slot reflected on a frustrating night for Liverpool after his side were held to a draw by Tottenham, with the Reds missing the chance to strengthen their push for a top-four finish.
Liverpool was left frustrated after being held to a draw by Tottenham, with Dominik Szoboszlai’s first-half free-kick ultimately cancelled out by a late Richarlison equaliser. Szoboszlai had put the Reds ahead with a set-piece that Guglielmo Vicario will feel he should have saved, but despite dominating much of the play afterwards, Liverpool were unable to find a second goal.
The result means they missed the chance to move above both rivals in the race for Champions League places, though they would have climbed past Chelsea while remaining behind Aston Villa. It comes after Tottenham's boss mistook a member of his own staff for Slot.

Speaking to BBC's Match of the Day after the game, Slot said: "Unfortunately we weren't able to score more than one goal. I think the most equal part of the game was the last part when both teams had their chances. Most of the chances they had came from similar situations as their goal did."
On Szoboszlai's goal the Dutchman added: "Great goal. It's nice to score a goal like that. We had many better chances than that one but if Dominik is behind the ball it becomes a big chance as we have seen again today."
Ngumoha who made his first Premier League start showed flashes of real quality. On his performance Slot said: "He enjoyed it as well and I enjoyed it also. He has developed very well throughout the season.
"He is 17 and now he has had his first Premier League start. He was a constant threat and that was definitely one of the positives to take from the game today."

Slot admitted Liverpool felt they had dropped two points after conceding a late equalizer, acknowledging the frustration of failing to see the game out. "Yeah of course, home game, being up for so many minutes, yeah of course, two points dropped" stated Slot.
Jamie Redknapp claimed Liverpool look sshort of its usual sharpness, suggesting key elements of its game are currently missing. The former midfielder said the Reds appear to lack the intensity and cutting edge that typically define their performances.
"They go 1-0 up, they put their foot on the gas - they could win this game comfortably" he said on Sky Sports. "Even the subs that came on - Ekitike has been magnificent this year, but he came on and didn't show any desire. I think that epitomised the performance.
"Salah came on, did a few bits - but he hasn't got the pace or goals that he had last year. Everything just seems missing.
"When you look at that goal, that sums up Liverpool defensively all season. Individual mistakes. No one getting the second ball. If you don't win two or three-nil, you have to make sure you win 1-0. I think that was too easy for Tottenham to get that last goal. They're still in the Champions League race, but they have to win games like today for sure."
