Arne Slot has confirmed Joe Gomez is a doubt for Liverpool's Champions League last-16 second leg against Galatasaray after missing Tuesday's open training.

The defender completed 90 minutes on Sunday as the Reds were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw against Tottenham, but was the only first-team player missing from the session at the AXA Training Centre.

Speaking ahead of the Galatasaray game, Slot said Joe Gomez was not ready to train.

"Joe, we will decide tomorrow," Slot said in his pre-match press conference.

"He was not involved today as he had too many issues. He had those issues before Tottenham but Ibrahima Konate had discomfort in his hamstring so Joe had to play. He is a doubt for tomorrow."
