Tottenham Hotspur may have just received a bad omen ahead of their relegation six-pointer against Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
The fact that the Spurs held a clash against 17th-placed Forest in higher regard than a Champions League Round of 16 tie against Atletico Madrid shows what the Lilywhites’ preoccupations are at the moment.
Tottenham are desperately trying to preserve their Premier League status after a disastrous campaign, sitting just one point above the drop zone.
The result against Forest this Sunday could go a long way towards defining whether Spurs stay up or not, and they may not be too pleased with the latest announcement ahead of the game.

Michael Oliver will referee Tottenham’s clash against Nottingham Forest
The Premier League have now confirmed that Michael Oliver will take charge of the clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.
Oliver will be assisted by Stuart Burt and James Mainwaring, while Chris Kavanagh, Tony Harrington, and Craig Taylor will be the fourth official, VAR and assistant VAR, respectively.
The last time Oliver officiated a Spurs game was during their 2-0 loss to Man United at Old Trafford last month.
Cristian Romero was sent off less than 30 minutes into the game, and that is something Tottenham will be keen to avoid a repeat of against Forest.
What is Spurs record in games overseen by Oliver?
Spurs have a decent record when Oliver has officiated their matches, which he has done on 54 occasions, as per Transfermarkt.
Tottenham have won 28 of those 54 matches, while drawing 11 and losing 15, giving them a win percentage of 51 per cent.
Oliver has booked Spurs players on 95 different occasions, which is less than two yellows per match, while he has brandished a red card on six occasions to those wearing Lilywhite.
