Tottenham Hotspur will be keen to avoid the mistakes they made a few months ago against Nottingham Forest when they come up against the Midlands side again on Sunday.
While Spurs have a small matter of a Champions League R16 tie against Atletico Madrid up next, they would already have half an eye on the relegation six-pointer against Forest coming up on Sunday.
According to reports, Igor Tudor will be in charge of Tottenham’s clash against Forest, and the result of that game could be ‘decisive’ to the Croat’s future at N17.
With relegation at stake, the upcoming Premier League clash could be worth hundreds of millions of pounds for Spurs, and they have to learn from their past mistakes against the same opponents.

Tottenham will not want a repeat of individual errors against Nottingham Forest
The meeting earlier in the season between the two clubs at the City Ground did not go according to plan for the Lilywhites, who were on the receiving end of a 3-0 loss.
One can argue that the result was the start of the end for Thomas Frank at the North London club, with two of the three goals conceded being of Tottenham’s own doing.
There was a mix-up between Guglielmo Vicario and Archie Grey for Forest’s opener. The ball was pinched off Gray after Vicario played a questionable pass to the youngster on the edge of Spurs’ own box.
The Italian then appeared to misjudge Callum Hudson-Odoi’s cross, which sailed directly into the back of the net to put the home side 2-0 up.
Ibrahim Sangare then added a late third for Forest on 79 minutes after finding space outside the box to unleash a vicious strike, thus handing Tottenham a bruising defeat.

Can Spurs muster a performance in front of their own fans?
Tottenham’s form at home has been shocking since the start of 2025, with the Lilywhites appearing to struggle with the expectations of the home crowd.
For Spurs to give themselves the best chance of surviving, they need at least a couple more home wins from the four matches they have left, and beating their direct relegation rivals would certainly put Tudor’s men in a much better position.
In order to get the three points against Forest and give themselves some breathing space, Tottenham would have to avoid shooting themselves in the foot as they did in the Midlands three months ago.
