Liverpool defender Calvin Ramsay is back in a Premier League matchday squad for the first time in three years as the Reds take on Nottingham Forest.
Ramsay, signed from Aberdeen in 2022, has struggled for fitness and form during his time at Anfield so far, but has been given the chance to come back into the fold thanks to injuries to both Jeremie Frimpong and Conor Bradley.
Arne Slot said on Friday that both right-sided full-backs will be out for two or three weeks. Dominik Szoboszlai is expected to start at full-back in their absence, though Curtis Jones and Wataru Endo are both options.
Florian Wirtz is also missing as Slot's men face Nottingham Forest. He has picked up a muscle injury and should be back before Frimpong and Bradley, though no exact date has been placed on his return.
"Robbo [Andy Robertson] didn’t train [on Thursday] for private reasons, but he will be with us today," Slot said on Friday.
"Alisson [Becker] trained last week and this week so he will be able to play tomorrow if things work out well today again.
"But we do have some issues after the international break unfortunately. Conor Bradley is unable to play [and] Florian Wirtz is unable to play. That’s far from ideal."
