Liverpool boss Arne Slot must go back to basics to get out of the current rut that the Reds find themselves in, according to soccer pundit Gary Neville.
The former Manchester United ace has weighed in on Liverpool's early-season struggles. This weekend, it lost 3-0 at home to Nottingham Forest in another dismal showing at Anfield with Murillo, Nicolo Savona and Morgan Gibbs-White all scoring.
"It wasn't on television so I've only watched the highlights," Neville, speaking ahead of the North London Derby between Arsenal and Spurs, told Sky Sports. "But when the result came through, I was stunned. It was a 'wow' moment.
"Forest obviously beat them there last year but you think about how Forest have been this season, and you think that Liverpool haven't been great, but they're still strong at home, it's a worry.
"It's a massive worry. I'm not going to pile in because when you win a league, and when you have a group of players who have proven themselves over a long period of time, you're allowed a dip.
"It isn't always going to be perfect. But ordinarily, it wouldn't get this bad. They have to stop it now. They have to intervene."
Virgil van Dijk said Liverpool's players must take responsibility and start winning their individual battles again, suggesting that they are letting Slot down at the moment with their performances.
That kind of simplicity is something that Neville also believes would be beneficial in the matches to come, starting with PSV in the Champions League on Wednesday.
"I think when you're losing and going through a run like that, you have to strip everything back to its foundations and go back to basics," he continued.

"You need an extra level of detail, focus and concentration in everything you do.
"The manager might have to be a little bit more basic in his style... keep clean sheets, be more solid at the back, and more solid in midfield.
"You have to pretend you're starting from scratch. It's more than a blip now. It's getting to a really concerning point now if you're a Liverpool fan."
Liverpool.com says: It is hard to say what has gone wrong with the Reds this season and therefore how to fix it. Key players are just miles off where they should be in terms of performance level, all across the board. In many ways, it is inexplicable.
