Liverpool faces a quick turnaround in between trips to Molineux this week. The Reds will look to make amends for Tuesday’s 2-1 Premier League defeat when they again face Wolverhampton Wanderers on Friday in the FA Cup.
With the cup tie being Liverpool’s third game in seven days, Arne Slot is likely to rotate his squad. Steven Gerrard has already called on Rio Ngumoha to be handed a start, and the teenager is among those who will hope for a rare starting berth.
But the Liverpool head coach’s rotation options have been depleted by several injuries. Ahead of the fifth-round tie, here’s the latest Liverpool injury round-up and possible return dates.

The German has missed the last three matches with a back problem. While the injury is not expected to be long-term, Wirtz will not be back in time for Friday’s FA Cup trip to Wolves.
Speaking on Monday, Slot said: “The game probably comes too soon tomorrow and maybe the game at the weekend. We hope to have him back next week.”
Possible return date: 10 March vs Galatasaray
Wataru Endo
The midfielder suffered an ankle injury in last month’s win over Sunderland, and while no update has emerged from Liverpool, Endo’s international manager has provided an the latest.
Japan manager Hajime Moriyasu said: “We don’t know what will happen once surgery is performed, but the fact that he needs to play in the World Cup is something that he, the club, and we all understand and share.”
Possible return date: May

Jayden Danns
The academy graduate has struggled with injuries for over a year, limiting him to just one senior appearance in that time. Danns has not played since September due to a hamstring issue, but has stepped up his recovery in recent weeks and is back in training with the Under-21s.
Possible return date: April
Alexander Isak
Liverpool’s record signing suffered a broken leg following a tackle from Micky van de Ven in December. After undergoing surgery, the striker has been continuing his recuperation at the AXA Training Centre, and he is expected back before the end of the season, perhaps even after the March international break.
