Bayern meeting
Christian Falk suggests that Bayern Munich is hopeful of persuading Liverpool to sit down and discuss Diaz's future.
BILD echoes this sentiment, suggesting progress is being made and that agreeing on personal terms for a four-year contract with a salary of €14 million ($16.3 million) should pose no issue.
So far, all Bayern has received from the Reds is rejection.
An initial approach in early July was immediately dismissed because the player is not up for sale. A subsequent $68 million bid was also swiftly turned down.
However, Bayern appears determined about this potential deal and believes that meaningful discussions between the clubs can commence if the proposed fee is substantial enough.

Falk also hints at a belief in Germany that an increased offer of €80 million ($93 million) could bring Liverpool to the negotiation table.
Bayern has this and more funds available, as it's explained that ample resources have been allocated to also secure the €65 million ($75.6 million) signing of VfB Stuttgart striker Nick Woltemade.
