Former Liverpool and Celtic star Sir Kenny Dalglish does not expect to see Andy Robertson move to the Hoops this summer.
Robertson’s is expected to depart the Reds at the end of the season, calling time on his nine-year affiliation with the club. He has fallen behind Milos Kerkez in the left-back pecking order this term and has repeatedly reiterated his desire to play regularly.
He was also the subject of January transfer interest from Tottenham Hotspur and was open to a move to North London. However, the 31-year-old remained at Liverpool, where his contract expires this summer. An exit seems likely, and Robertson has been linked with a move to his boyhood Celtic.

“If he had spoken to me about it, I wouldn't have mentioned it anyway,” Dalglish joked in a recent interview with The Celtic Way.
“But Celtic, how many left-backs do Celtic need? Why would Celtic even mark somebody's card that we're going to go for Robbo? Where's he going to play? [Kieran] Tierney's rattled one in again last night. He's prolific now - a goalscoring left-back.

“I don't know what's going to happen to him [Robertson], but I do know that he can be proud of what he did at Liverpool. And he can be proud of what he's done for Scotland. So, if he doesn't sign for Liverpool, somebody's going to benefit.
“And if they get him, they've got a good bonus there. Obviously, his future is dependent on what Liverpool say to him. If they want him, I'm sure he'll sign. But I hope he signs for Liverpool.”
Meanwhile, Robertson’s former Liverpool team-mate, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, added to the speculation this week and claimed that perhaps his good friend may be set to soon join him at Celtic Park.

“We were very close with Robbo and his family, his mum and dad,” Oxlade-Chamberlain said on Celtic’s official podcast. “We were next-door neighbours for years, so I knew about Celtic and Glasgow, to be honest, from them for years. Robbo makes it no secret what he thinks about this club.
“When I was linked, he was the first one who called me and said, 'Get yourself up there now.' But I'm obviously really close with Robbo and his missus and his kids, and my missus is really close with them also, so we get on really well with them.
“Having him as a reference point was perfect for me. He's told me where I need to live, where I need to go. He's told me everything. He's a proper Glasgow boy... I just said to him, 'It's a shame you're not here with me.'
"Maybe I came a bit early... he might join me soon. He's a bit younger than me, Robbo. I'd hope to see him here one day. I think he'd be amazing here.”
