Tottenham injury crisis continues as three more players ruled out of Liverpool game

Tottenham will be without as many as 12 players as it takes on Liverpool this weekend, with Cristian Romero and Joao Palhinha both set to miss out due to concussion protocols.

The pair clashed heads during the Champions League defeat to Atletico Madrid midweek and are being monitored. However, they will not be permitted to take to the pitch at Anfield on medical advice.

"No Romero and Palhinha out," manager Igor Tudor said. "Micky [van de Ven] is out. Yves Bissouma has a problem and Conor [Gallagher] has a fever but we hope he will be OK. Always something happens. It's very rare and I've never seen this in my career."
